Saturday evening the orange carpet rolled out at the Galen Center in Los Angeles for the 2011 Kids’ Choice Awards. Disney starlet, Selena Gomez looked absolutely stunning in Christina Cota. The look was perfect for the event and the teal shoe was a sophisticated and fun addition to this effortless look. I'm also dying over Pixie Lott’s retro Miu Miu dress and the lace detail on Nicky Hilton's Proenza Schouler is incredible. But hands down, my fash fave of the night has to go to Kourtney Kardashian, who killed it in a pink halter top maxi dress.
With all good fash fave's comes the dreaded fash fail's and this evening Gossip Girl's Taylor Momson definitely fell into the latter category. I understand that this is her “image” but would it hurt her to throw on a dress every now and then, even if it is in black. Taylor's gothic ensemble may have been totally inappropriate for the event, but my least favorite look of the night has to be Nickelodeon star, Miranda Cosgrove. Her bright pink satin Mui Mui dress and shoes were all kinds of wrong. I don’t like the fit or fabric of the dress and I wouldn't have paired a black shoe with her pink ensemble. Your eye is instantly drawn to the heels and in this case, it just doesn't work. I would love to have seen her in a flowing floral print dress paired with a nude shoe.
All in all I think everyone looked beautiful at the event. And congrats to all of the winners of the night. Which look was your favorite?
